Explore movement, postural assessments, treatment strategies and clinical reasoning skills for the lower body.
Organized by Integrated Natural Health
This 16-hour lower body assessment and treatment class explores dynamic movement and postural assessments, treatment strategies and clinical reasoning skills. Synthesize your knowledge of muscle actions, agonist/antagonist relationships, complex movements, compensation patterns, fascial connections and tensile restrictions contributing to pain patterns and loss of function.
The first day we will complete a series of dynamic movement assessments, evaluate patterns, identify over active and inhibited muscle and the resultant posture. Recording data collected on a body map and assessment sheet provides a comprehensive representation of client’s patterns contributing to low back and pelvis pain and dysfunction, one of the top 2 client complaints. The skills acquired will advance your clinical judgment and assessment skills to create a treatment strategy from a full-body, global perspective. The second day we will present and practice treatment techniques.
This course meets 3 consecutive Thursdays – June 4, 11, 18, 2020.
