What You’ll Experience
Cross Fiber Techniques is a hands-on, small-group training designed to refine your touch, sharpen your assessment skills, and deepen your understanding of fascia as a living, responsive system. Across three immersive days, you’ll explore cross-fiber applications, embodied anatomy, and therapist body mechanics through focused demonstrations and guided practice. This course supports a grounded, confident approach to client care while honoring the sensing body as a powerful source of clinical insight.

Explore the role of fascia in the regulation of posture and body alignment, and how dysfunction or restrictions in fascial tissue can impact movement patterns and contribute to pain or dysfunction.
Understand and integrated the 3 PASS METHOD of massage technique application, encompassing Purpose, Techniques, and Therapeutic Goal, to guide and optimize massage therapy sessions.
Apply critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills to adapt cross fiber techniques to individual client needs, considering factors such as tissue condition, depth requirements, pain sensitivity, and treatment progress and goals.
Utilize cross friction strokes to encourage site-specific blood flow and relieve scar tissue restrictions through application of transverse cross-fiber friction, preparing tissues for corrective therapy and facilitating the rehydration and healing process.
Effectively apply cross fiber friction techniques to broaden and release soft tissue adhesions to achieve unprecedented client outcomes by tailoring treatment approaches to meet specific client needs and desired therapeutic goals.

What should I bring?
Please bring everything you need to give and receive a massage, including:
2 sets of sheets
A blanket for comfort and draping
Unscented lubricant (cream, lotion, or oil)
A notebook and pen for taking notes
Water bottle and any personal items that support comfort throughout the day
Massage tables and bolsters will be provided.
Do I need to have experience with cross-fiber work?
No prior cross-fiber training is required. A foundation in massage therapy is all you need. We’ll build tactile precision and technique step by step.
Is this course approved for CE credit?
Yes. This training offers 21 NCBTMB-approved CEs (Provider #451117-09). You’ll receive your certificate upon completion of all course requirements.
What is the class size?
The course is intentionally limited to four participants to ensure generous hands-on support, spacious practice time, and personalized guidance.

Yes. Each day includes guided partner exchanges designed to deepen skill, confidence, and tactile nuance. Roles are switched so each therapist has equal time giving and receiving.

What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, professional clothing that allows you to move freely. Layers are encouraged so you can adjust to the temperature of the space.
