Imagine stepping onto a path where the earth beneath you tells a story of resilience and transformation—a place where soft coastal sediments meet the unshakable strength of bedrock. Five Mile Woods is more than a forest; it’s a sanctuary. I invite you to take Yoga off the mat and join us for Gentle Sediments & Sturdy Bedrock a guided journey of movement, mindfulness, and connection.

Through gentle standing yoga postures, a reflective sit spot practice, and a mindful walk along the trails, we’ll explore the delicate balance between softness and strength—both in the natural world and within ourselves. Together, we’ll move, breathe, and listen deeply to the landscape, drawing inspiration from its ancient wisdom.

Reconnect with Nature

A Mindful Outdoor Experience

A Mindful Outdoor Experience (MOE) is a guided journey into nature designed to awaken the senses, cultivate presence, and foster a deep connection with the natural world. Rooted in mindfulness and somatic awareness, an MOE weaves together intentional movement, breathwork, sensory exploration, and moments of stillness to invite a felt sense of belonging in nature. Each experience is crafted to honor the rhythms of the seasons, the landscape, and the participants' inner landscapes, offering a restorative and enriching way to reconnect with self and the earth.

In Your Words…

  • I have thought of you a few times today. I want you to know how much I appreciate you. Because of you, I am much more interested in trees than ever before. Sam and Susan were always champions of trees and I never absorbed their interest. Unfortunately. I could have learned a lot. But you brought it alive for me. You made the information important to me. I walk almost every morning and those trees have become familiar friends. So thank you Theresa. You gave me a gift.

  • This experience was transformative. I came in feeling scattered and left feeling completely at peace. The blend of mindful walking, breathwork, and quiet reflection opened up a sense of presence I hadn’t felt in a long time. I now carry that sense of calm with me into daily life.

  • The Mindful Outdoor Experience was exactly what I needed to slow down and reconnect—with myself and the natural world. The gentle guidance helped me tune into my senses in a way I never had before, and I left feeling deeply restored and grounded. It was a beautiful reminder that nature is always here to support me.
